Samsung Galaxy Note II video review

The new smartphone-tablet hybrid Galaxy Note II has a large, bright screen, fast processor and bigger S Pen creating an overall pleasurable experience. Here's our Samsung Galaxy Note II video review.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 2 is an updated version of the Samsung Galaxy Note device which was launched last year here at IFA. The smartphone tablet hybrid has an even bigger screen at 5 and a half inches and an upgraded S Pen, that among other things is bigger.

We went hands on with the Galaxy Note 2 and found it be a pleasurable experience. The screen is huge and bright. It has a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and YouTube videos looked great on the display.

Samsung's increased the size of the battery from 2500 to 3100 milliamp hours, but how that will be affected with a larger screen and faster processor remains to be seen.

The smartphone is powered by a quad core 1.6 gighertz processor, runs Android 4.1 and seemed very snappy during the time I spent playing with it.

The thicker S Pen is easier to hold and the new hover capability comes in handy.

And if the pen is left behind, the Note 2 will vibrate to remind the user to retrieve it.

The gadget will start shipping in October, beginning with Europe and Asia.
