Asus reveals new Transformer Pad Infinity tablet specs

New 64GB Android tablet from £499

ASUS has revealed the technical specifications of its long-awaited TF700T Transformer Pad Infinity tablet.

The ASUS Infinity Android tablets will feature either a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Krait Dual-core(4G/3G) or the NVIDIA Tegra 3 T33 Quad-core (Wi-Fi) CPU with 1GB RAM.

Storage capacity, as with Apple's iPad, goes up to 64GB.

The tablet will be released first in Italy on June 10th with the price tag of 599 Euros, or £499; US$699 for the 64GB Wi-Fi model.

As with other ASUS tablets an optional keyboard is available, which serves as a dock and additional battery to extend the 6-hour battery life.

The 10.1-inch Super IPS+ screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 has a 1,920-x-1,200 pixel resolution and a specified brightness of 600 cd/m2; pixel density is 222.5ppi.

There is a 2MP front and 8MP rear auto focus camera with LED flash, plus large F/2.2 aperture and backlit sensor.
