Corel PaintShop Pro X3 photo-editing software

Corel has unveiled the latest version of its PaintShop Pro photo-editing software.

Corel PaintShop Pro X3 offers an Express Lab that brings commonly used tools such as colour balance and noise removal into one place so they be accessed quickly and easily.

The new version supports multi-photo adjustments so edits can be saved and applied to multiple images. The program now supports more than 350 RAW formats while an integrated organiser lets users tag, rate and quickly locate photos.

Corel has also given PaintShop Pro an Object Extractor. This is designed to make it easier to mask fine image details such as wisps of hair. A Project Creator, meanwhile, lets users create, edit and share projects such as photo books, collages and calendars.

Projects can be shared on Facebook, Flickr or YouTube with a few clicks of the mouse.

"Whether you're quickly sorting and rating your favourites out of hundreds of photos or sharing using Facebook or Flickr, it's never been faster to create professional-looking results," said Corel's Petter Nordwall.

Corel PaintShop Pro X3 is available now and is priced at £79 for the full version, or £59 for those upgrading from a previous version.
