Serif has unveiled PhotoPlus X3 - an updated version of its photo editing software.

The new version of PhotoPlus allows users to process and edit RAW images from digital cameras as well as support for 48bit colour images and the ability to combine shots with different exposures to create high dynamic range pictures.

Users will also benefit from new effects such as realistic metal and glass textures and the ability to open and save images in Microsoft's HD Photo file format.

"PhotoPlus X3 offers an unsurpassed combination of usable features and high-end digital darkroom power making it the ideal choice for anyone looking to get the most from their digital photos," says Gary Bates, managing director of Serif.

Available now direct from Serif, PhotoPlus X3 is priced at £59.99.
