Serif MoviePlus X3 video-editing software

Serif has launched version 3 of its MoviePlus digital video-editor.

MoviePlus X3 sports a redesigned interface and several new features intended to make video-editing an easier process.

Serif now includes How-To guides with step-by-step instructions on popular editing functions from importing and capturing clips to applying effects and exporting full movies.

There is a range of new animations and text styles for titles, along with a selection of audio and visual effects including the ability to make contemporary footage look like an old movie.

A new 'import from device' wizard makes it more straightforward to import files direct from a digital camera, PC or memory stick. Serif MoviePlus X3 also offers the option for movies to be exported straight to a website such as YouTube or in a format suitable for playback on an iPod, PSP or other portable device.

Priced at £59.99 MoviePlus X3 is available now from www.serif.com.
