Vidatech Novel Writer creativity software

Let’s get the cliché out the way first: this software is aimed at those who feel they’ve got a novel in them – if only they knew how to get it out and down on the page.

This £27 program aims to ease that process by helping you visualise your novel as a whole and by taking you through all the necessary steps required to get you from scene sketcher to complete storyteller.

As with other novel-writing tools, Vidatech’s program encourages you to build your novel within its loose word processor application, offering exercises and lessons along the way that help you structure things in a cohesive manner. Character cards are used to help you people your novel with solid-seeming personalities with motivations, histories, interrelationships and recognisable physical attributes. An interactive episode explorer lets you add, delete or reorganise chapters.

Vidatech Novel Writer runs on either Windows XP or Vista and is available now at sites such as www.amazon.co.uk

Those who prefer live action should look out for another new title from Vidatech: Film Writer is also slated for imminent release.
