Vidatech Novel Writer creativity software

Let’s get the cliché out the way first: this software is aimed at those who feel they’ve got a novel in them – if only they knew how to get it out and down on the page.

This £27 program aims to ease that process by helping you visualise your novel as a whole and by taking you through all the necessary steps required to get you from scene sketcher to complete storyteller.

As with other novel-writing tools, Vidatech’s program encourages you to build your novel within its loose word processor application, offering exercises and lessons along the way that help you structure things in a cohesive manner. Character cards are used to help you people your novel with solid-seeming personalities with motivations, histories, interrelationships and recognisable physical attributes. An interactive episode explorer lets you add, delete or reorganise chapters.
