Brother 5910DW large format printer lands in UK

A3 printer trots out 10ipm mono pages

Brother is aiming to make large format office printing much more affordable with the launch of its 5910DW A3 model. The £215 printer is also much faster than other models in Brother's existing A3 line-up. The new 5910DW offers Ethernet connectivity, automatic duplex printing and has a 35-sheet automatic document feeder. The standard paper input tray can take 250 sheets of A4 or A3 paper.

Brother says the 5910DW is more compact than a standard A3 printer, making it suitable for use in a home office as well as a small business. Consumable costs are kept to a minimum as Brother sells XL cartridges for the printer that can produce 2400 pages.

The printer also offers scanning, fax and copying functions.

Page per minute print speeds are likely to be around 35ppm (pages per minute); however Brother says the 5910DW can process 12ipm (images per minute) when printing in a single ink and 10ipm when printing colour pages. Brother says the overall performance is as much as three times faster than MFC-5890CN model that it replaces.

The Brother 5910DW costs £215 inc VAT and is available now.
