Ricoh has unveiled the CX3, a digital compact camera that comes with a 10.7x optical zoom lens.

The 10Mp camera, which has a 29mm thick body, features a 3in LCD display to preview images, along with an Image sensor shift method image stabiliser to reduce blur when capturing pictures.

Users can also use the CX3 to shoot HD 1280×720 video footage. Image and video can be stored either on the camera's internal 88MB memory or to an SD/SDHC memory card up to 32GB in size.

The camera also features Scene Auto Mode which identifies the scene in which the image is being captured and adjusts the settings to ensure the perfect shot.

There are 13 different scenes including a 'pet mode' which turns off the flash so as not to dazzle your little pooch. The autofocus auxiliary light and operational sounds are also called off to avoid startling the pet.

The CX3 also has a high-speed continuous shooting function and adjustable noise reduction levels. The five settings ranging from Off to Max and also including auto.

Priced at £299.99, Ricoh did not reveal when the CX3 would hit the market.
