Kodak has unveiled the Zi8 - a high-definition pocket camcorder that can record 1080p video at 30 frames per second.

The camera features a 2.5in LCD display and a swing out USB arm, which makes it easy to upload footage from the camera, as well as charge it. The design is the same as that of Kodak's Zi6 digital video camera, which was released last year.

A quick-touch button allows users to upload footage direct to Facebook, as well as SD/SDHC memory card slot that can be used to store footage. The camera supports cards up to 32GB in capacity.

"The KODAK Zi8 Digital Video Camera makes it easy to spontaneously capture HD video - of heart-warming moments, of 'can you believe that?' moments, and of just plain laugh-out-loud moments - and then quickly and easily share them," said Carolyn Walsh, product sales director at Kodak.

The Kodak Zi8 comes in aqua, raspberry or black and will be available from September, priced at £149.99.
