Recon Mod Live video ski mask speeds into view

Embedded video camera is Android-powered

What’s the point in hurling yourself down a mountain at breakneck speed and risking life and limb in the process if there’s no one to testify to your awesome adrenaline junkie ways?

Sticking a camera on your head spoils the look and your aerodynamism; a video camera embedded in your ski mask less so. To save everyone's blushes, Recon Instruments has launched a ski mask with an embedded video camcorder. Known as the Mod Live, it's both a style statement and an intriguing use of smartphone tech.

Complete with speedometer, contact list, call monitor and playlist, the Recon Mod Live pumps pumped up tunes straight to your brain as you power down the slopes. The clever bits are powered by Android, so you get to be geeky and cool all at once.

The Recon Instruments Mod Live was demonstrated at this year's CES and is available now. For a demo, see reconinstruments.com
