Polaroid t1488 digital camera

Spending several hundred pounds on a feature-laden camera is a luxury few of us can afford. At the same time, you don’t want to end up with a camera that's cheap but takes poor pictures. You can take cost-cutting too far.

Polaroid's latest compact cameras won’t break the bank – the Polaroid t1488 costs £119 while the chunkier t14588 comes in at £149 – but offer the reassurance of a well-known name in the photography field.

The Polaroid t1488 is a 14Mp compact camera that has a 3x optical zoom and a 5x digital zoom. Shots can be previewed on its 2.7in LCD. Anti-shake and face-recognition features are built in. The Polaroid t1488 goes onsale in November.
