Compro Technology has unveiled its latest webcam, the IP55 Network Camera - a device clever enough to stream video footage to a smartphone.
The IP55, which measures 84x125x92mm, captures Mpeg4 video clips at a resolution of 1280x1024 and can stream the camera's live feed to any PC with an internet connection. Streaming to a suitably-equipped mobile phone is also supported.
The Compro IP55 webcam has a 4x digital zoom, a built-in microphone and a speaker. Movement sensors and sirens can be fitted to the camera should you wish to use to bolster the security system in your home.
A microSD memory card slot can be used to store video footage captured by the webcam. Compro also offers an optional wireless module so the camera can be used without needing to be connected to a PC.
Compro says installing the camera takes as little as five minutes.
Priced at £78, the Compro IP55 Network Camera is available now.
