Medion S4700 digital camcorder

Medion has unveiled the Medion Life S4700 - splash-resistant flash camcorder capable of capturing 720p video.

The £99 digital camcorder measures 65x105x23mm, weighs 85g and features a 2in LCD display and 2x digital zoom. It will capture video at 1080x720p resolution and 30 frames per second (fps). It can also take still images at a resolution of 1280x720. These days, even the most basic cameraphone can capture more detail than this.

Medion says the S4700's rugged outer casing and splash-resistant body make it ideal for capturing extreme sports exploits as well as tamer trips to the beach or park. The S4700 has an HDMI port so video footage and photos can be displayed on an HD TV. The camcorder has 90MB internal memory which can be supplemented with an SDHC memory card, up to 16GB .

The Medion S47000 is available now for £99.99 from Medion.
