Mustek PF-A61, on show at IFA

Mustek PF-A6LMustek's PF-A61 innovatively combines the roles of digital photo frame and scanner, meaning old snaps can be turned into a music-accompanied slideshow in moments, and with no PC called into action.

The screen is an 8in, 800x600 TFT model with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Up to 3,000 pictures can be stored in the 1GB of internal memory, Mustek reckons, and a range of memory cards can be connected; USB 2.0 connectivity is also offered.

The clever scanning slot sits below the screen - simply feed your photo through and you're ready to go.

Mustek says the HF-801 is likely to be available in the UK by Christmas - Mustek works with distributors Amazon and Argos - although German import is another option. Pricing should be in the neighbourhood of 199 euros.
