Samsung HMX-U10 pocket camcorderSamsung has added a high-definition compact camcorder that can take 10Mp still photos to its line-up of digital video cameras. The HMX-U10 captures full-HD video at 1920x1080 resolution.

The camcorder has a one-touch upload button to send clips straight to the YouTube video-sharing website. Basic editing can be performed on the camcorder itself so you don't necessarily need to download footage to a PC before sharing it.

The 56x103x16mm pocket camcorder records to an internal flash memory or an SD Card and sports a slightly curved back 'wave' design that Samsung says makes it more comfortable to hold than an upright candybar model such as a Flip or a Creative Vado.

Onsale in the UK from September, full details of the HMX-U10 camcorder can be found at samsungcamcorder.co.uk.
