Hannspree SD7021 digital photo frames

Hannspree, makers of inexpensive PC monitors and TVs with novelty surrounds, are to launch a pair of widescreen digital photo frames. The £39.99 displays are available from Amazon.

Both Hannspree SD7021 digital photo frames have 7in screens and internal memory capacities of 64MB. Jpeg and bitmap (.bmp) photos can be shown. The screens display images at a resolution of 480 x 234. The screens have a brightness of 200 candelas and a contrast ratio of 500:1.

Photos can be loaded on to the internal memory using the USB 2.0 connection. Additional photos can be added using a removable media card. Formats supported are Secure Digital, Sony Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro and Memory Stick Duo.

An alarm clock and timer are also featured on the 7in photo frames. The mains-powered displays are 20.4cm wide, 13.7cm tall and 2.7cm deep and weigh 379g.
