Casio Exilim EX-Z150 8Mp digital camera

Casio has launched a new compact digital camera, the 8Mp Exilim EX-Z150.

The newest addition to its Exilim range features a wide-angle 28mm lens with 4X optical zoom alongside anti-shake and face detection technology.

Casio claims that at 2cm thick, 9.7cm wide and 5.7cm tall, it's the thinnest camera in its class. The Exilim EX-Z150 has a shooting mode that records video in a YouTube-friendly file format and resolution, so videos aren't re-encoded by the site and should maintain their quality.

The camera has a 3in LCD display with a date edit function that allows the date and time at which the photograph was taken, to be changed. This is designed for those moving across time zones and forget to change the camera settings.

The camera will go on sale in Europe from August and cost around €200 (£165) .
