Kodak Zi6 pocket video camera

Kodak has launched the Zi6 Pocket Video Camera - a compact digital video camera capable of capturing footage in 720p HD format.

The 2.4in LCD screen can be used to preview footage captured at 60fps (frames per second) with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The camera also features built-in software and a USB port which according to Kodak allows content to be quickly and easily uploaded to video sharing sites such as Google's YouTube.

Footage recorded by the Kodak Zi6 camcorder can be stored an SD (Secure Digital) or SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) removable memory cards. Cards up to 32GB are supported.

As part of the package, Kodak provides basic video-editing software. The Zi6 is powered by a pair of AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. A charger for these comes bundled with the camcorder.

Available from www.kodak.co.uk, pricing and availability for the Zi6 Pocket Video has yet to be announced.
