Epson Perfection V200 Photo

Epson today launched one of two flatbed scanners lined up for European release this summer. The Perfection V200 Photo has a top resolution of 4,800dpi (dots per inch) and comes with a scan to PDF feature for direct emailing and filing. A built-in transparency unit is able to scan six frames in a 35mm film strip at a time while the Perfection V200 is able to take media up to 25mm thick.

Epson Easy Photo Fix provides more than basic on-the-fly touch-ups. Functions include dust removal, faded photo restore and backlight correction, as well as the more standard red-eye removal feature found in most image-editors. Items placed askew on the Perfections scanning bed are automatically straightened and realigned.
