Kingston has unveiled an ultra-secure version of its Data Traveler flash drive. The Kingston Data Traveler 5000 offers 256bit AES encryption - enough to satisfy the stringent security standards of the US government.

In addition, the USB flash memory drive has security software built in that can detect malware. This also verifies that the encryption software is running properly whenever the device has been plugged in to a PC or laptop.
The flash drive is available in 2GB to 16GB capacities. Price start at £71 for the 2GB version and rise to £275 for the 16GB capacity.
