Epson has launched the Stylus PX800FW - a six-colour multifunction printer with Wi-Fi connectivity and a dedicated label printer.
Designed for both small business and consumer use, the glossy black photo printer features a large 7.8in touchscreen LCD display that tilts to provide the most comfortable viewing angle. The Epson Stylus PX800F comes with templates stored in its memory for a range of document types, including postcards, thank-you notes and overlays for photos. These can be printed out, drawn or written up - perhaps with a caption for a photo - and the design scanned in and then reproduced over the top of the original image.
The PX800FW has a multiformat memory card slot so users can create their own projects without the use of a PC.
As well as Wi-Fi connectivity, the PX800FW also benefits from an ethernet connection, as well fax, scanning and copying capabilities using the 4,800spi scanner. There is an automatic document feeder and the device is PictBridge-compatible. This means that devices such as cameras and cameraphones can be directly attached to the printer, obviating the need for photos to first be transferred to a PC for editing or printing. Alternatively, photos can be sent for printing uses its Wi-Fi connection.
The printer uses six individual cartridges, so users only to replace the colour that empty.
The Epson Stylus PX800FW is available now and priced at £299.99.
