has unveiled its latest colour inkjet printer - the PIXMA iP2702.

The £45 Canon PIXMA iP702 is capable of producing documents and images at resolutions of up to 4800X1200dpi. Canon says it can print a bordless 10x15cm print within 55 seconds.

Measuring 445x250x130mm, the Pixma iP2702 uses Canon's ChromaLife 100+ inks. This specially-developed ink offers enhanced longevity that Canon says will "ensure that images stay vibrant, colourful and fresh-looking for as long as possible".

The printer also comes with basic photo-editing tools in the guise of PhotoPrint EX software. Canon also provides a copy of Easy-WebPrint EX - an application that selects key sections of a web page and 'clips' them to a single document for printing.

Priced at £45, the Canon Pixma iP2702 will be available from March.
