Acer has unveiled a short-throw projector that includes support for 3D. The Acer U5200 requires a projection distance of just 13cm in order to display an image 77in tall – a feat involving the use of a mirror.

An optional USB wireless adapter  lets users display presentations over a Wi-Fi network. MobiShow software can be used to hook up Wi-Fi enabled smartphones and project contenty from them.

The Acer U5200 3D projector will available from the beginning of March and will cost £1,125.
