Epson has added a multifunction colour laser printer to its AcuLaser range. The AcuLaser CX16 has a first page-out time of 14 seconds, after which it can churn out pages at a rate of 23 per minute, says Epson.
Aimed at small and medium-sized business users, the CX16 produces 1200x600 dots per inch pages and uses Epson's AcuBrite toner.
As well as printing black and white and colour pages, the AcuLaser CX16 can scan in documents and photocopy them. It comes with a 200-sheet input tray.
Conscious of the high costs associated with colour printing, in particular, Epson offers high-capacity toner cartridges for use with the CX16.
A network-ready version of the AcuLaser CX16, the CX16NF, adds Ethernet connectivity and faxing to the features. It also has an automatic document feeder, while businesses with extensive printing needs can buy a supplementary 500-sheet paper tray to save frequent refills. Duplex printing capabilities are available as an optional upgrade.
The Epson AcuLaser CX16 multifunction laser printer will be available in the UK from April.
