Buffalo TeraStation ES four-bay NAS

Buffalo has unveiled the TeraStation ES - a four-drive Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, aimed at small businesses.

Available in 2TB, 4TB, 6TB or 8TB versions the TeraStation supports RAID level, 0, 1, 5, 10 and standard. It has a maximum transfer rate of up to 62MBps.

Hot-swap and 'hot spare' functions allows users to safely remove and replace a hard drive if it fails, without losing data or suffering downtime.

The TeraStation ES also features a Quota Management function to prevent misuse of disk space by allocating the right amount of space by user, a USB port and the ability to access the device from any PC with an internet connection.

"Not only is the TeraStation ES easy to deploy and easy to manage, but it offers its users the peace of mind that their critical data is safe without the need for costly external IT support," said Paul Hudson, Northern European sales director, Buffalo Technology.

The Buffalo TerraStation ES is available from Misco and prices start from £529.99 for the 2TB version and rise to £1,219.99 for the 8TB device.
