Epson Stylus Photo PX650 photo printerEpson has launched a new A4 photo printer aimed at digital photo enthusiasts, the £129 Stylus Photo PX650.

A 6.3cm colour screen on the photo printer will allow the user to scroll through their images, select and edit them and make any last-minute border or cropping changes before printing.

The PX650 uses Epson Claria Photographic inks. These have a wider-than-standard colour gamut for more faithful colour reproduction. Kept under glass, photo prints produced using Epson photo papers and Claria ink have an independently rated lifespan of up to 200 years.

The PictBridge-compatible printer has a memory card slot and a USB port but can also connect directly to a camera and suck photos from it. Epson has a 10x15cm photo can be printed in around 12 seconds. The Epson Stylus Photo PX650 can also print full A4 colour prints.

The Stylus Photo PX650 will cost £129 and will be onsale in the UK from 1 September.
