Xerox has launched seven new black and white printers, including one model that is able to spit out 50 pages per minute.
Other new Xerox models include the £180 Phaser 3250 laser printer and the high-end Phaser 3250 multifunction printer designed for heavyduty office use which costs £1,260.
The Xerox Phaser 3100 A4 multi-function printer is the entry-level model. It prints at a rate of 20ppm (pages per minute) and offers a scan-to-email function. It has a full keyboard for the fax directory and comes with OCR (optical character recognition) software that converts scanned documents into searchable text files.
An optional VoIP adaptor is also available, which enables the printer to work as a fax machine to over an IP network. The Phaser 3100 MFP is priced at £119 inc VAT. Meanwhile the next model up, the Phaser 3635MFP also features a full-colour touch-screen control panel and a speed of 33ppm. Its is priced at £1,260 plus VAT.
Also new from Xerox is the Phaser 3250 laser printer which offers double-sided printing and speeds of 28ppm for £180, alongside the £300 Phaser 3600, which prints up to 38 ppm and includes Xerox’s CentreWare Internet Service technology, for online maintenance.
The Phaser 5550 is the successor to the popular Phaser 5500 laser printer and comes with PhaserSmart - an online troubleshooting tool that helps diagnose and solve potential printing issues. With a speed of 50ppm and the ability to print single or double sided, the A4 printer costs £1,770.
Finally Xerox has also announced the WorkCentre 5020, a A3 multifunction printer that prints and copies at 20ppm and the WorkCentre 5225/5230 multifunction printer, which offers print and copy speeds of 25ppm and 30ppm, respectively. Prices start from £3,091 ex VAT for the WorkCentre 5225. A price for the the WorkCentre 5020 has yet to be announced.
All seven printers will be available direct from xerox.com and through Xerox approved retailers.
