Epson AcuLaser M4000 printer series

Epson is adding to its business printer line up with the launch of the Epson AcuLaser M4000 series. The PostScript 3 printers are capable of producing up to 43 pages per minute.

The three models in the range kick off with the M4000 standard version which has a 700-sheet paper tray capacity, while the duplex M4000DN version incorporates an additional paper cassette and increases the total capacity to 1,800 sheets.

Epson says a first page out time of as little as eight seconds can be expected from the 1,200dpi mono laser pritners. Print accuracy is assured through support for Adobe PostScript 3 emulation as well as PCL6, PCL5e, PDF 1.3 and ESC/Page.

A large LCD display provides visual clues should maintenance need to be performed while an optional document stacker can be bought to help sort and separate different jobs. Another option is to expand the printers' onboard RAM from the standard 64MB to 576MB.

The AcuLaser M4000 is expected to cost from £590 ex VAT and will be available from epson.co.uk.
