Xiaomi Mi Note / Xiaomi Mi Note Pro UK release date: When is the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro coming out?
Xiaomi does not officially sell its phones in the UK. If you're looking to buy a Xiaomi Mi Note or Mi Note Pro in the UK you will need to buy it through a Chinese site such as Geekbuying, but be warned that Xiaomi stock can be unreliable. Geekbuying has confirmed that it will stock the Mi Note Pro, but advises contacting its presales team before purchasing. Xiaomi's Mi Note arrived on 27 January in China, and sold out in just three minutes! On 31 March it also unveiled a pink version of its Mi Note, which went on sale on 8 April.

The 16GB Xiaomi Mi Note costs 2,299 yuan, which is around $371 or £244. That's less than half the price of rivals such as the Note 4, Nexus 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. You can pick up a Xiaomi Mi Note for £348 from a site such as Geekbuying in the UK, but be sure to read up on our advice on buying grey-market tech first.
The newly announced Mi Note Pink Edition comes in a gift pack with a 5000mAh power bank and costs 2,499 yuan. That's around £272 or $402.
The 64GB Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is more expensive at 3,299 yuan, which equates to $532 or £350. Even at this higher price the phablet offers astonishing value.
Xiaomi Mi Note / Xiaomi Mi Note Pro specs
The Xiaomi Mi Note is a 5.7in full-HD (1920x1080, 386ppi) curved-screen phablet with a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip, Adreno 330 graphics, 3GB of RAM and 16- or 64GB of storage. This metal-framed phone is protected with Gorilla Glass 2.5D on the front and Gorilla Glass 3 on the back. It supports dual SIMs (nano + micro, both 4G), and is packed with 13Mp rear- (with a six-element Sony lens, OIS and a Philips two-tone flash) and 4Mp front (with large 2-micron pixels) cameras. A 3000mAh lithium-polymer battery supports quick charging, while the Mi Note's audio capability stretches to 24-bit/192KHz lossless playback, including support for APE, FLAC, DSD and WAV. At 77.6x155.1mm and just 6.95mm thick, the Mi Note is thinner than the smaller-screen iPhone 6 Plus, and it's 11g lighter at 161g, too.
More impressive, however, is the Mi Note Pro, which is said to be the most powerful phone in the world.
Xiaomi's Mi Note Pro has everything the Mi Note has, but swaps in a faster 2GHz Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor, which is paired with Adreno 430 graphics and 4GB of RAM. The screen is a 5.7in Quad HD panel from Sharp, with its 2560x1440 resolution offering 515ppi. Storage is 64GB as standard, and with support for LTE Cat 9 you can expect staggeringly fast download speeds of up to 450Mb/s.
Both phones run Xiaomi's MIUI 6 software, which is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
