Market-leading battery case maker Mophie has recently brought out two battery cases for the iPhone 5: the Mophie Juice Pack Helium and more powerful Mophie Juice Pack Air.
The iPhone 5 cases feature capacities at 1,500mAh and 1,700mAh respectively.
The Mophie Juice Pack for HTC One is more powerful still, with a 2,500mAh rechargeable lithium polymer battery, which should easily be enough for a full recharge when the HTC One runs out of juice. The iPhone 5 requires less power to achieve a full recharge (or near to it) with the Juice Pack Air.
You charge both phone and case via the included micro USB cable, and you don’t need to take the phone out of the case to charge it.
When the popular Android phone’s battery dips to only 20 percent power (recommended) or dies completely you simply flick a switch at the back and the phone begins to charge from the battery in the case. Then you’ll need to recharge both, as mentioned above.
Using the standby switch will give you the biggest battery boost from the juice pack. The phone uses additional power to be on a constant charge, so charging when your phone battery is low will let you get the most from your juice pack.
The Mophie Juice Pack for HTC One weighs 143 grams, and measures 15.4cm long by 7.3cm wide and 1.7cm deep (2.88-x-6.05-x-0.67 inches).
There is a large cutout at the back for the HTC One’s camera, plus covered button overlays for volume and power controls. Like the Mophie iPhone cases it offers rigid, rugged protection for the smartphone as well as the battery pack functionality. There aren’t holes for the speaker and microphone but there are small holes for the HTC One’s noise-cancelling microphone.
The Mophie Juice Pack for HTC One is expected to have an on-sale release date around the end of May, and cost £89.95. It comes in both black and silver models.
