Sylvia Chind, Head of Devices at Three said, "Following the phenomenal success of the Samsung Galaxy S III last year, we're pleased to now offer the Ultrafast ready Galaxy S III. Built with the technology to work on our advanced network you'll be able to enjoy the ultimate mobile internet experience on Three."
Three is offering the Galaxy S3 Ultrafast in marble white or pebble blue for £34 per month with an upfront cost of £29 on its Ultimate Internet 500 plan. The handset is also available for £36 per month and an upfront cost of £29 on The One Plan.
Alternatively, you can get the Ultrafast Galaxy S3 for £449 on Pay As You Go plus a top up. For example, 'All in One' 15 costs £15 and provides a month of all-you-can-eat data plus 300 minutes and 3,000 text messages.
Three said its Ultrafast, but not 4G, network covers 55 percent of the UK's population and will reach 80 percent coverage by the end of March.
The DC-HSDPA technology can provide theoretical speeds of up to 42Mbps but in reality it is more likely to be around half this.
Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy S3 Ultrafast will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, not version 4.1 Jelly Bean.
