Motosmart budget Android smartphone unveiled with £99 price tag
The Motosmart is a simple Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone aimed at the masses. Motorola said it will be released by the end of July on T-Mobile pay as you go for £99. It will go up against phones like the LG L3, HTC Desire C and Huawei Ascend G 300.
Victoria McManus, marketing director of Motorola Mobility UK said: "Simply put, Motosmart makes life easier. You don’t have to worry about complicated settings and hard-to-follow instructions. Just turn this smartphone on and get instant access to the people and things in your life that matter most."

The Motosmart features a 3.5in touchscreen and a 3Mp rear facing camera. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a Motoswitch user interface which includes widgets for displaying your favourite contacts and apps.
Motorola confirmed with PC Advisor that the phone will not be getting an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Due to the low price, the phone is lacking in storage with only 512MB. However, it does have a microSD card slot for expansion.
