Sony has announced its next smartphone, the Xperia Miro.
Sony reveals its first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone
The firm has announced another smartphone called the Xperia Miro which it calls a ' fun social smartphone'. It will be the first handset from Sony to come pre-loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.See also: Group test: What's the best smartphone?
Like the Xperia U, the Xperia Miro has a 3.5in touchscreen but a lower resolution at 320 x 480. The phone is powered by an 800MHz Qualcomm processor and has 512MB of RAM.
Internal storage is rated at 2.9GB but the Xperia Miro has a microSD card slot for expansion of up to 32GB. It has a 5Mp rear camera with 'pulsed LED' flash and a front-facing VGA camera. There's Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB and digital living network alliance (DLNA) certification.
The Xperia Miro will be available in four colours: black, white, black & pink and white & gold. It has a customisable notifications LED where intervals can be set to distinguish what the notification is for.
The Xperia Miro will be available in the third quarter of the year with pricing still to be confirmed.
