Android Gingerbread handset also has onboard social media integration

Acer has announced a new smartphone product range: the Liquid Express. A follow-up to the Google Android handsets Acer currently offers, the Liquid Express runs Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread and supports NFC (near field communications) technology. The handset has a 3.5in half-VGA screen and offers 3D emulation. Available on Orange and T-Mobile networks, the Liquid Express handset will offer contactless mobile micro payments, ticketing and add supplementary information to product listings. The phone has a 5Mp camera with LED flash, runs off a 800MHz Qualcomm 7227 processor and costs as little as £15 a month depending on contract.
