Nokia N8 Smartphone

Nokia's N8 is the first handset to run the Symbian^3 smartphone mobile operating system. The handset has a 3.5in touchscreen display that supports gestures including flick, scrolling and pinch-to-zoom.

 Its homescreen can be personalised with apps and widgets to suit the functions and services you use. Among these is a social networking widget that allows you to update your status, share location and photos and view live feeds fromFacebook and Twitter on the homescreen.

The N8 smartphone has a 12Mp camera with Carl Zeiss lens and Xenon flash and can capture HD video as well as photos. Built-in photo and video-editing software allows you to tweak your video and images. An HDMI port (and supplied cable) provides a direct output so you can show off your photos and video on an HD TV. Aweb TV services offers shows from CNN, E! Entertainment, Paramount and National Geographic.

Measuring 113x59x13mm, the handset features a silver casing, a 16GB internal memory as well as support for a MicroSD card up to 32GB, a music player and an FM radio.

The Nokia N8 will be made available during Q3 and is expected to cost €370 (£317). The networks offering the handset have yet to be revealed.
