TomTom GO x50 LIVE sat nav

TomTom has unveiled the GO x50 range of sat navs that feature LIVE Snapshots, which displays the latest traffic information, fuel prices and safety alerts on the device using 'over-the-air' updates, as soon as the device is turned on.

Once drivers start their journey, the LIVE snapshots are updated in real-time as and when information is available, ensuring drivers remain up-to-date throughout their journey.

The sat navs also feature IQ Routes technology that redirects drivers on another route if traffic jams are detected, as well as an Eco Route option that offers drivers the most fuel-efficient route.

The devices also benefit from Map Share technology which allows users to make instant changes to the map and share these with others through TomTom HOME, TomTom's free desktop application.

There are three devices in the range; TomTom GO 950 LIVE which comes with pre-installed maps for US, Canada and the UK and 44 other countries in Europe as well as Enhanced Positioning Technology (EPT) for uninterrupted navigation when driving through tunnels.

Also available is the TomTom GO 750 LIVE with maps of 45 European countries including the UK and TomTom GO 550 LIVE that feaures maps of the UK and Ireland.

Prices have yet to be announced for the satnav's, which will be available this autumn, although the LIVE services will cost £7.99 per month.
