Samsung Tocco Lite multimedia phone

Samsung has unveiled the Tocco Lite - a version of its Tocco handset with "enhanced multimedia features".

The touchscreen Tocco Lite has a single button to provide access straight to a Facebook or MySpace account and to the YouTube video-sharing site.

The 106x54x12mm handset has a 3in display, a 3Mp camera/video camera with smile and face detection as well as video capture capabilities and an FM radio. Samsung equips the Tocco Lite with a 50MB internal memory and supports removable memory cards up to 8GB microSD card.

The phone is also equipped with the Samsung DNSe 2.0 (Digital Natural Sound engine) which, the company claims "ensures natural, high quality sound".

"The incredible success of the Samsung Tocco handset last year has paved the way for this latest addition to the Tocco family," said Mark Mitchinson, vice-president Samsung Mobile UK and Ireland.

"With its vivid and responsive full touch screen, the Tocco Lite will appeal to consumers who want to access their social media sites in a simple and colourful way."

Available from May, no carrier or pricing details have been released yet.
