TomTom XL and One with IQ routes

TomTom has extended its IQ Routes function to its TomTom ONE and TomTom XL satellite navigation devices. IQ Routes present drivers with the quickest, least traffic-choked route for the time of day they're driving.

IQ Routes was previously only available on the top-of-the-range GO satnavs. TomTom ONE IQ Routes and TomTom XL IQ Routes offer a new user interface with larger, clearer icons. They now also come with enhanced European map coverage, plus free trials of Safety Alerts and Fuel Prices functions. These two optional add-ons gives users access to the most up-to-date safety camera information and the latest fuel prices in the UK.

"IQ Routes allows drivers to take those routes that only well-informed local drivers would know. It takes away the stress and uncertainty of not knowing where to go or when one might arrive, as well as giving users a faster route in many cases. In addition, advanced lane guidance is an essential safety feature that gives drivers more confidence when dealing with complex junctions," said Corinne Vigreux, managing director of TomTom.

TomTom ONE IQ Routes with UK and Ireland maps costs £149.99, while the European maps version is priced at £169.99. TomTom XL IQ Routes cots £189.99 for the UK and Ireland version and £209.99 for the European version.
