O2 XDA Zest Pay&Go Windows Mobile 6.1 handset

O2 has announced its first Pay&Go PDA. The 02 XDA Zest is a touchscreen Windows Mobile 6.1 device and will cost £249 when bought as a Pay&Go handset. It will be free to customers taking out an 02 contract. 

The XDA Zest PDA has a 2.8in TFT touchscreen and comes with Wi-Fi and HSDPA (high-speed data packet access) connectivity. It can be used to access the web and to send and receive emails including attached Microsoft Office document, on  the move. Microsoft Outlook handles the email and contact management while MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint documents can be opened and edited on the device. 

Manufactured by Asus, the Xda Zest also comes with a two-week trial of CoPilot Sat Nav with full UK and Ireland GPS mapping.

The 02 XDA Zest has a 3Mp camera, MP3 player and FM radio.

Available in stores and from O2's website from 17 November, the Xda Zest will be priced at £249.99 for PAYG customers and will be free on some O2 contracts.
