Samsung's latest Q series laptops come with a choice of Intel Core i3 and i5 processors. The 15.6in and 14in-screened laptops are set to go onsale in the UK later this month.
The 15.6in Samsing Q530 and the 14in Samsung Q430 both feature high-definition displays along with an nVidia GeForce GT 330M graphics processor and 1GB of dedicated graphics DDR3 memory.
The Samsung Q330 ultraportable model is a 13.3in laptop weighing 1.97kg. It has a power-saving graphics feature that switches between the Intel HD graphics chip and the dedicated nVidia GeForce 310M processor. Because of this abiliity, says Samsung, the Q330 can last as long as seven hours longer when running off the battery than it would otherwise have done.
The Samsung Q Series laptops all feature an HDMI port, three-in-one card reader and ergonomic keyboard. They also boast Samsung's USB Sleep and Charge USB port. This will charge gadgets such as mobile phones and MP3 players even when the laptop is in sleep mode.
"We've designed the Q Series to offer the most exciting, powerful and stylish mobile computing experience on the market. Each model in the range will maximise mobile productivity through a combination of state-of-the-art features and ergonomic design," said Graham Long from Samsung.
The Q series laptop range will be available from July. Prices have yet to be released.
