MSI has launched a widescreen display netbook. The MSI Wind 12 U200 goes onsale in the UK later this month.

The 12.1in netbook runs Windows 7, and has a 16:9 frameless display.

Weighing 1.5kg and measuring 297x190x31mm, the MSI Wind 12 U200 has an EDS (ergonomics de-stress) keyboard. MSI says it's more comfortable to use than other netbooks' because it has a surface area 51 percent bigger than theirs. Each individual key is wider, which should also improve typing accuracy.

Available in either black or white, the Wind 12 U200 netbook comes with an Intel 1.4GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard disk drive, a 1.3Mp webcam and two integrated speakers. Its six-cell battery offers 6.5 hours use between charges. Further features include an HDMI port, three USB 2.0 ports, a four-in-one card reader and Wi-Fi.

Priced at £399, the MSI Wind 12 U200 will be available from MSI this month.
