MSI has unveiled the GX660R – a gaming laptop produced in conjunction with audio specialists Dynaudio.

The 15.6in-screened MSI GX660R is powered by an  Intel Core i7-720QM processor and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 graphics.

Cooler Boost technology allows the speed of a fan to boosted by the user to increase the cooling efficiency of the machine. The gaming laptop can also be cranked up a notch using MSI's TDE (Turbo Drive Engine) technology.

The GX660R laptop comes clad in a glossy black chassis illuminated by LEDs. Its three DDR3 slots offer up to 12GB of RAM while MSI offers as much as 1TB of hard disk storage, depending on the configuration chosen.

The laptop is a chunky 55mm thick. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium, features a DVD, webcam, two USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI port. Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity are all included.

Available to pre-order from Micro Anvika, the MSI GX660R is priced from £1699 inc VAT.
