Acer has unveiled three business laptops under the Gateway brand - the retro PC manufacturer known for its cow-print logo, which pulled out of the UK in 2001.

Very few specifications are available at the moment but we do know the Gateway N20 is a 12.1in laptop while the NO50 and NS50 both feature 15.4in screens. All three have a magnesium alloy casing - chosen because it is "solid and robust" - along with Intel Core 2 Duo processors, a 500GB SATA hard drive, wireless connectivity and a fingerprint reader for extra security.

The laptops also come with a DVD drive, five-in-one card reader, three USB ports, a webcam and software including Windows Vista Business and Microsoft Office 2007.

Acer also confirmed that it will launch three desktop machines with Quad Core 2 Duo processors later in the year.

Pricing, further specifications and availability has yet to be released, though Acer initially suggested an early March launch when it announced the Gateway models two weeks ago.
