Acer has announced its Aspire One 756 netbook.
If you thought netbooks were dead then Acer disagrees with you. The Aspire One 756 is an 11.6in netbook with a choice of Intel Celeron 877 or Pentium 967/987 processors.
The choice extends to the four different colours - dewdrop silver, ladybug red, ash black and feather blue. Consumers will also be able to choose between Windows 7 Starter and Home Premium for the operating system.
Acer said: "the Aspire One 756 is the perfect travel companion to let you enjoy fantastic entertainment and be productive whenever and wherever you want."
The netbook uses a Mobile Intel HM70 Express Chipset and has Intel HD Graphics with 128MB of memory. Acer has fitted the Aspire One 756 with an 11.6in LED-backlit LCD screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768.
Other technology includes Wi-FI, Bluetooth 4.0, a Crystal Eye webcam, HDMI port, 320GB or 500GB hard drive and up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM. Acer touts a battery life of up to 4.2 hours.
The Aspire One 756 measures in at 27mm and weighs 1.4kg, according to Acer. The firm hasn't released details on pricing or availability yet.
