Asus A46 slimline 14in laptop debuts
Asus has announced a new 14in-screen Windows 7 Professional laptop that packs a surprising amount of graphics processing power: the Asus A46 comes primed with 1GB of nVidia GeForce GT540M DDR3 memory. This is paired with an Intel Core i5 Sandy Bridge processor, a 500GB hard drive and 4GB of RAM.

Samsung Series 7 GAMER 3D laptop has 16GB onboard
The Samsung Series 7 GAMER is a 17.3in-screen 3D-enabled laptop with 8GB of DDR RAM. The 1920x1080-pixel display operates at a 3D-friendly 120Hz. The laptop is powered by a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and 2GB of AMD Radeon 6970M GDDR5 HD graphics.

Asus G74Sx 17.3in Republic of Gaming laptop launches
Asus has started selling the 17.3in-screen Republic of Gaming high-spec laptop it first demonstrated at Computex in June. The Asus G74Sx ROG laptop has a minimum of 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 1.5TB hard drive and comes with 3D as an optional extra.

Acer C110 Travel Series USB-powered projector launches
Acer has announced a new model in its Travel Series range of pico projectors. The C110 will cost £199 and will go onsale in the UK this August. The 50 Ansi lumens projector weighs 175g and measures a mere 110x85x25mm.

Toshiba launches world's first glasses-free 3D laptop
Toshiba has unveiled the world’s first glasses-free 3D laptop. The Qosmio F750 3D is a 15.6in screen Windows 7 laptop that can display 3D images that can be viewed without the need for special 3D glasses. It will go onsale in the UK from early August with an expected RRP of £1,300 including VAT.

Sony has announced a number of new Vaio laptops. The Vaio Z is a 13.3in ultraportable laptop that weighs 1.2kg and has an SSD for storage. A Power Media Dock adds ports and support for LightPeak - a take on Apple's Thunderbolt connection

Samsung Chromebook Wi-Fi edition goes onsale in UK
Samsung has started selling the Wi-Fi version of its Chromebook laptop in the UK. The 12.1in screen laptop has a 1280x800-pixel non-reflective screen and weighs 1.45kg. The Google Chrome OS laptop will also be offered in a Wi-Fi+3G version.
