Sony VAIO Mini W Series netbook

Sony VAIO Mini W Series netbookSony has added finally bitten the bullet and launched its own netbook. The Sony VAIO Mini W Series supports high-definition graphics and video.

The 10.1in VAIO Mini W netbook has a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and a native resolution of 1,368x768 pixels. Sony says this will be beneficial to users as they'll be able to browse websites without having to scroll sideways across the screen.

Mini W Series netbooks will come in a choice of three "dazzling" colours, sugar white, berry pink or cocoa brown.

Available in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Russia and Germany from the middle of August, the VAIO Mini W Series machines will be powered by an Intel Atom N280 processor, have 160GB hard disk and 1GB of RAM. The Windows XP Home netbooks can be preordered from the Sony Style website.
