Toshiba NB200 netbook

Toshiba has expanded its range of netbooks with the NB200, which features Intel's new N280 Atom processor.

The netbook, which is also available with Intel's 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, has a 10.1in 1,024x600 widescreen display that comes with an LED backlight and features the Intel 945GSE graphics chipset, 160GB hard disk drive and a 3D accelerometer monitoring system that Toshiba claims "detects and protects the HDD from freefalls, shocks and vibrations".

Running Windows XP, the NB200 has a "nearly full-size" tiled keyboard. It also features with a webcam, Bluetooth and 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi connectivity. It's powered by a three-cell battery that can run for up to four hours between charges. An optional nine cell battery that can extend the netbook's life to nine hours from a single charge is also available.

The NB200 comes in black, brown, white and pink (although this won't hit shelves until Q3) and is priced at £319. It will be available from May.
