Archos 10 mini laptop

Archos is hoping to rival the Eee PC with its Archos 10 -a mini laptop powered by the Intel Atom processor.

The 10.2in mini laptop has a 1,024x600 LED display alongside a 160GB hard disk drivE. weighing just 1.3Kg, the Archos 10 runs Windows XP and comes bundled with Lotus Symphony, Xnview to edit digital photographs and Skype, which can used in conjunction with the 1.3Mp webcam can be used for video-calling.

The mini laptop benefits form Ethernet and 802.11b.g wireless connectivity, as well as a four-in-one card reader, a VGA connection and three USB ports. Users will also benefit from a six month free trial of Parental Filter parental controls software and BitDefender Antivirus 2009 security software.

Priced at £349, the Archos 10 is available from the end of January.
