Dell Inspiron 1525

Dell is showing off the successor to its Inspiron 1520 consumer laptop at CES, with the new Inspiron 1525 due for worldwide availability in a couple of weeks.

The new model – available in a range of colours – is a 15.4in laptop based on Intel chips (various models from the Celeron M to the T7215) and up to 2GB of RAM. Dell said that at 2.4kg, the 1520 is lighter than its predecessor and approximately 30 percent thinner. It includes an 8-in-1 card reader and a webcam as options, while UK buyers will get access to the mobile web via Vodafone's 3G service.
