Mozilla reveals faster Firefox for Android with new features

Mozilla has release the latest version of its Firefox web browser for Android.

The non-profit organisation said the new version of Firefox for smartphones is faster and easier to use than ever. As well as new features, Mozilla claims the browser is twice as fast as the Android stock browser.

Mozilla said: "We’re proud to announce a new Firefox for Android is now available for download in the Google Play store. The new Firefox for Android is a snappy and dynamic upgrade to mobile browsing that makes it faster and easier to get where you want to go on the Web."

Firefox for Android version 14 is available to download for free from the Google Play Store.

The latest version features a redesigned user interface including a personalised start page and a new 'Awesome Screen'. The latter shows elements like top sites, browsing history and bookmarks.

There is support for Flash and security options like Do Not Track, Master Password and HTTP Strict Transport Security.
